razor blade scraper tool asin is restricted lthough we fall under exemption category

Hi there:

Our Razor blade scraper tool suddenly can't be sold recently without any performance notifications., We contacted Amazon Seller Support, who replied that it has been flagged as a Blade product, and needs approval to sell. and also currently no application is taken by amazon. We listed this item in December and for 2 months amazon didn't put any restrictions. my stock is on way to amazon now which I can't redirect.

As per this policy, https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G201852820 , our product blades are permanently enclosed in a cartridge or housing with less than 2 mm of exposed blade:

I would like to provide clarification on my product's compliance.

Product Compliance Details:

Enclosed Blade Design: The razor blades are permanently enclosed in a cartridge/tube with no direct exposure when packaged.

Blade Exposure Limit: As per the attached images in case ID, the actual exposed blade length is less than 2mm, aligning with Amazon’s compliance requirements.

Tamper-Proof Packaging: The product is sealed in secure packaging with a tear-off sticker, ensuring safety during storage and shipping.

I have shared images for my stances and support team ensures me that theproofs are valid to appeal. hence the internal team still denied

Comparable Listings on Amazon: I have noticed similar products being sold under FBA, such as:

[Example 1 ASIN] B0CJNTSW68

[Example 2 ASIN] B0DLMXMPRM

[Example 3 ASIN] B0CQRDFZ1S

This indicates that similar products are being accepted under Amazon's policies and that without Knife flag required because it comes under exemption criteria.

Case ID: 10726599842, 10737189032

We have attached images of product packaging, product itself with parmanent blade store in body, blade tube box sealed packaging and blade measurement of under 2 mm size.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jimmytrader, we are also having the same issue currently.

We have been selling razors/shavers and replacement blades for years on Amazon with no issue until now.

Amazon have now put blade restrictions on one of our best selling products which we have stock in FBA which has now become stranded.

Hoping Amazon can give you some answers on this thread, and it can help us with our issue too.

@Seller_6HfoDANOeFgjn, in the listing images of your product, it's visible that some blades are more than 2mm. Unfortunately, this does not meet the Examples of Permitted Listings requirements according to the Weapons policy.

Hi @Julia_Amzn which image are you referring to? I can still see the blade is under 2 mm in catridge. in my case its a scraper tool. i am not able to attach image here for you to see but you can check it under case id : 10726599842 this case has been clsoed now due to no reply but you can find images here. similar blade are being sold by other sellers too so i am pretty much sure that it is allowed and comes under rules set by amazon. please check it again.

Hi @Julia_Amznmy listing images no where mentions about size of blade. the actual blade size is 39*18*0.5 mm and when put it inside scraper to use it only exposed less than 2 mm of blade area. please note not whole blade area is actually a blade nature. and you cannot use any area other than that 2 mm portion for scraping purpose. the listing images are showing the sizing of product only not the blade. for example if you see the image PT01 on listing. We are using the same blade as these ASIN are using: B0DLMXMPRM, B0CJNTSW68. you can compare it as well. Please review it again as I believe its a mis-judjement only by the review team.

If you allow me i can post a video of my product on any case ID that you tell me| for your team to review. iI will show the measurement as well on video that the actual blade exposed area is less than 2mm. and the blades comes in a handy tube that is sealed and safe to use. not like other sellers who are just wrapping it with paper and putting a rubber band to pack them which is unsafe yet still allowed to sell on amazon. Although it cost us more but whats important is the safety and rules se by amazon.
