First line of delivery address no longer visible?!?!
Hi all,
I received a message from a customer who said that he is still waiting for his item shipped on 24/04/2020. I checked his details page and I found that the delivery address has no address line - only the city and the post code. That is strange as I won’t send a parcel to any incomplete address.
Now, Royal Mail wants the order page as a proof but now this page shows incomplete delivery address. As they tried many times to avoid paying for lost items, now they have the full right to do so.
I want to know where I stand on this issue? Is the buyer allowed to open an A-Z after 2 months? I know it’s a scam but I don’t see many options on Amazon. Apparently Amazon is getting absolutely paranoid and very hostile towards FBM sellers. Can’t message the buyer, showing only “first” name when very often is Mr or Mrs, now no first address line?
I’ve lost interest in selling on this platform and I no longer bother to do any work here apart from shipping orders and replying to weirdos and scammers.
What’s your thoughts? Thanks

That’s weird, I just looked at an order shipped back in January and it’s still showing the address when I click into the order.
I agree that Amazon are making it harder and harder for FBM, it’s got to the point now that I’ll still list products on Amazon but i’m not really putting any effort into it. If it sells it sells, if it doesn’t then I’m selling it on other easier to use/better platforms anyway.
I’ve had enough of that the only way to get the buy box is to be the cheapest (and despite what others may say that it’s only part of getting the buy box, I’ve always found it all comes down to price) that it’s really just not worth the effort and headaches you get from selling on Amazon.

Amazon removes customer details after 2 months or so. I am sure there is a mention of how long exactly but basically it is to stop dodgy sellers from contacting customers unsolicited after a transaction is finished.
You could ask the customer to confirm their full address details and advise you will contact RM for a claim before you can ship out a replacement due to the time it’s passed.
RM lets you claim up to 80 calendar days if I am not mistaken, and this order was made 67 days ago (again, day here or there). Do you not have the postage receipt you can show them for proof?
The customer has 90 days from the day the item was received (if tracked) or from the last estimated delivery date on the order to open A-Z and if RM was used without tracking they will automatically be granted a refund.
Saying this, you can fight it and insist to get a claim processed with RM before doing anything else and advising customer as it has been 67 days since the order has left, it was completed and closed by Amazon as no issues were reported this whole time.
