Selling in Amazon Australia (Question about local taxes)
Hello Everyone,
I was wondering in anyone is selling on the Amazon Australia Marketplace.
I am interested in their Tax System. I have managed to speak over the chat with the Australia Tax office representative, however, he was not able to answer my question, so I got booked for the callback. Waited for 3 night for their call back, but none contacted us.
My question is:
We are the UK seller (currently not registered for VAT) if we sell on Amazon Australia and we ship orders from the UK, will we be liable to pay any taxes in Australia (not the import taxes I mean), because the Tax Office person was not sure, but he mentioned because we would earn money from Australian Citizen we might need to pay local taxes.
Anyone came accross with local taxes? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank in advance,
