Hey guys, fairly new here had some questions

Hello fellow sellers, I have a few questions if somebody could help.

  1. Can I sell on a listing with an item with no logo’s on it when the listing also has no logo’s on the product image also? it has a brand name but no logo on the product, am I breaking a rule by selling that product?

  2. Can I buy single quantity items and make a pack of 3 myself? I found a product that you can sell in x3 but where I bought this item from, single packs only, if I pack the item as a 3 am I breaking any rules?

  3. How can I make a listing more popular? is that done by keywords ?

thanks for the help people, appreciate any kind of answers.

  1. No, you need to list as ‘generic’

  2. You can pack them together in bundles of 3 but you must assign it a new barcode (or apply for an exemption), Amazon will only accept barcodes bought from GS1.

3.Good keywords will help but, if the product has no visibility, you may need to advertise.

@Jackie1 has given you solid advice - but just to reiterate:

If you list against an item the EVERYTHING must match. The title, description and brand of the item must match the item you intend to sell. It doesn’t matter if you think that something on the listing is wrong and your item matches what it should be, it needs to match what it actually is.

If the listing is genuinely wrong, you need to get the listing fixed before you list against it.

Lots of sellers sell generic items against their own brand - do not try and piggyback on those listings.

If a listing is branded generic, then that is fine, but be aware that successful ‘generic’ listings have a habit of being hijacked and taken over by a seller registering a brand against the existing listing and kicking off other sellers.

Essentially buying items that are already spread throughout the Amazon catalogue from Alibaba/Aliexpress is a risk for many, many reasons - especially if you are a new seller, where you will have difficulty providing invoices to prove item authenticity when Amazon do a random ASIN check or your competitors (or maybe even a genuine customer) file an authenticity claim against you…

Are your goods from wholesale or from retail sources?
