Update regarding the SFP Delivery Dates for the Easter 2024 / SFP weekend pickups
In reply to: Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK’s postby Seller_yRqzR0ZXUoeEk

Hi @Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK,

Having checked our SFP order for today, we can see 0 orders are due to be shipped by today.

There are at least 17 orders placed after 4pm on Friday, all with a ship by date on Monday, despite our collection date and shipping settings set for Sunday pick up and dispatch.

It seems that we're still facing the consequences of this issue and it is impacting our weekend sales.

Please can you assist?

Shipping small letter size orders
In reply to: Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn’s postby Seller_w9VI3UyAR7oxH

I send around 100 large letters ( £1.55 ) per month and find that 20-30% dont have delivery confirmation - so it's worth checking delivery , even if you dont get a customer complaint , because you can claim compensation for all those without confirmation ... if each item is worth £20 that's an extra £200 - £300 per month compensation from royal mail .

very rarely have non delivery for tracked 48

Shipping small letter size orders
In reply to: Seller_QoQ4dWkKUzqCD’s postby Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn

I send between 100 and 200 items each day using Royal Mail Letter (85p Cost). All Brought through Amazon Buy Shipping.

As others said if you opt for this then your only choice is to buy through Buy Shipping to keep to Amazon Policy.

As it is an untracked service you do find that some customers claim non delivery. You have no proof whether it is delivered or not so you either refund or risk an A-Z if you don't.

However I find less than 1% of my Royal Mail Letters have non delivery claims for customers.

I actually have more claims for Royal Mail 48. Whilst this service has a delivery confirmation scan you find in practice that Royal Mail sometimes don't scan the barcode on delivery which leaves you open to fraudulent claims.

If your items are expensive though you do leave yourself open to fraud using Letter Post so you may want to look at some form of tracked service.

Customer return item disposition
by Seller_L0Bw3huPV4ixB
Amazon replied

Hello

Looking for some advice in relation to a customer return. Here is a breakdown of events:

-Item was purchased on 30th October 2022

-Amazon has refunded the customer on 20th March 2024 - that is nearly 17 months after the item was bought.

-The return was received on 28th March and immediately disposed of as it had batteries in it.

The headset is worth over £150 and amazon are refusing to reimburse me for it. Is there anything that can be done to get the cash back?

Thanks

I am doing FBA and Amazon keeps the buy box with 6-7 months of shipping time on some of my listings. How on earth can it be possible? It cannot be accepted as a normal shipping time and there is no chance to beat those prices. Amazon does not allow us to win the buy box.

Greedy Seller
In reply to: Seller_UVeFCZoAA4mkx’s postby Seller_soBD2wwhsVOww

Just need look at your margin & not worry about what other sellers are doing. For me,25% is minimum I know many sellers run at a margin way lower there's lots of busy fools on here. I currently average 35-40% daily/monthly.If any sku drops below 25% I just dump it & move on

How amazon destroyed my business.

At the beginning of the year I received a verification letter like many others. Initially I successfully passed their verification, a few hours later I received a second email that my account would not be opened because I was not VAT Establishement. They decided I am not a VAT establishment, even though according to UK state I am! I have emails for everything.

On the 17th of May I received a message from Amazon that I am VAT establishment, after sending them the official HMRC statement, and an official letter from my bank, which they wanted.

A few hours after that I got an email saying I had a policy violation from 22 March, and that my account would remain closed. The ridiculous thing about this violation is that I am not VAT establishment : screenshot 2

It appears that they are closing my account, for a violation according to them, which they then themselves find is not a violation ?!

Meanwhile, in April they forced me with a 7 day deadline to accept their payment plan to HMRC. According to them and HMRC I am VAT establishment but they have already started pulling the first instalment for this plan as if I am NETP ?! Over £6300!

And that's not all! Of my £35000 (over 6300 they took it for vat?!) that was blocked, 40% of that money is a credit to Amazon. The terms of the credit said that if they couldn't pull it from a bank account, they would pull it from the Amazon account. They haven't pulled them for five months now! But they charge me over 20% APY on over 15000 pounds. So every month or so they charge £250 per. month interest on money they have blocked from me and not withdrawn!

Amazon does whatever it wants with impunity. It violates all contracts, policies, steals other people's money. Even when I dropped them official letters from HMRC, they refused to accept them the first few times. Why does a corporation think it is more than the state ? So like all my listings I was selling I was competing directly with Amazon. Is Amazon pursuing a deliberate policy against the destruction of small sellers through various methods and loopholes they have found ?

Hi

I’m sure I’ve seen the sentence before. I suspect a drop shipper is looking back through their Amazon orders and if the tracking shows the item as not delivered (frequently the case with Royal Mail 48) they demand a refund using the following wording

”I still have not received my order even though the estimated delivery date has passed. Can you process a full refund for my order no ’

Anyone else seen this?

Cheers

SFP Not showing Correctly on Listings
by Seller_JaOiZVDWCKFmv

Hi,

We are struggling with our delivery days. On our SFP listings it says, and in all the shipping settings, Zero Day Handling (Same Day) and 4pm cut off for 4:30 collection.

So, when we check our ASINS, today for example, Order in the next 17 minutes (matches the 4pm cut off) for Delivery WEDNESDAY 26th? It doesnt matter what we change, it doesnt get any better. It always used to be next day showing, and obviously this now means our sales have fallen off a cliff.

Any ideas why this is and how we can change it? Seller Support - no idea?

There are A-Z's then there are A-Z's
by Seller_GkLry66xQzT9C
Amazon replied

Sometimes I am staggered at what people do. We Always try and help customers where we can and our service record shows that but in over 7 years the worse case of buyer manipulation ever. Really not sure what to do so answers on a postcard.

A customer buys a personalised item of clothing and we ship tracked 48 as always within 24 hours. After we shipped the item the customer asks to change the size. We said we would assist the customer where possible to soften the blow of their mistake so contact us when they receive it. The item was delivered 4 days ago. This morning with no further messages and A-Z saying hasn't arrived and 10 minutes later an order in the size they wanted their order changed to. What would you suggest. Clearly I will appeal the A-Z but pointless I guess.
