Also just be wary that any large refund may put you over the threshold where you should have become VAT registered.
So for example you were doing a 12 month turnover of £80k and got a VAT refund back of £15k then HMRC calculate your turnover to be £95k and you would need to become VAT registered (based on current threshold of £90k)

Thankyou for the info, we only use CRL for large letters which for us is cheaper (£1.25) than 48 tracked. For packages and more expensive large letters we use tracked and signed which as you say is cheaper and better. Interestingly on the category which has been suspended our VTR is 90% so suspension seems harsh to say the least
We have had 2 returns initiated recently due to errors in the titles of an item.
B07TS8WQVP
Amazon Title - Annie Pattern, with Zip
Title should be IMHO - ByAnnie Out and About PBA282 sewing instructions to make your own Rucksack / Backpack / Knapsack in two sizes. Clear concise instructions
We listed on this item via the upc format.
However the title is incorrect both grammaticaly and factually which has caused one of the returns (amazon automatically issued a return label costing us £3.30 for a letter sized item below 100g on an item that we are selling for £12.50 inc postage))
We have tried many times to correct several of these but as on this one where someone has lited it as a brand called annie instead of the correct ByAnnies you get stumped when trying to get anything changed. Have tried today to add some bullet points to possibly reduce the amount of returns bt they have not come through yet.
There seams to be a policy of just blocking/making a simple operation very difficult any changes asking for hi res photos etc or supplier details and when we look through our listing we probably have 100+ of these that we would like to change the name to the correct one but dont have the time to jump through all the hoops that amazon want to put in the way when it is obvious that the original poster has made a mistake on the listing.
I am new to Seller and opened an Individual account. I want to sell one single item, my self-published book. I Add Product, put the book’s ISBN in the Category and fill in everything else required. It appears in My Inventory and I get an email saying it will be available for purchase in 15 minutes. But it never does. Seller helpdesk tells me my listing ’is not currently assigned to a product category, therefore is not searchable’. It tells me to complete the following steps. First go to Edit and select Product Identity and then fill in ‘Recommended Browse Nodes/Item Type Keyword’ BUT THERE IS NO PRODUCT ID to be found. Heldesk told me it is under Product Description… but when I click on that I get a message saying ‘Restricted Edit Permissions. As you are not the brand owner for this product…’ etc. It stops me filling out anything under Brand Description’, (It is my own self-published book but, when registered, Nielsen book registry automatically lists all books on Amazon.) Helpdesk then tell me, as an alternative, to ‘Toggle Advanced View’ BUT THERE IS NO ‘ADVANCED VIEW option to toggle. I am now on my 10th case with Help about this over two weeks and can’t get them to understand that it is not possible to carry out their instructions, despite sending screenshots to show I can’t fill out Product Details and there is no ‘Advanced View option. Please, please… can anyone else suggest anything and put me out of my misery?

Cheers, I've emailed but had no response either.
Not sure how it works myself but I think it's basically just a delay of 7 days + on everything from the 19th
So it'll be a gap of 7 days or more and then you'll be back to where you were on the 19th. I think...
ie. If you earned £100 from dispatched orders on the 19th and £150 on the 20th then you'll have £100 available to take on the 27th (based on next day delivery plus 7 days) and £150 available on the 28th
Not sure if that's quite right but that, or something along those lines, is what I'm expecting.
Seem like Amazon just get to effectively steal 7 days + worth of sales proceeds from us. I say steal, we'll get it back, but only 7 days after we stop trading which will, hopefully, be many years down the line.

We just had a customer order 100 items, total value £7,000. Then claim he got none of them, even though they were delivered, and he's just refunded. So £7,000 down the drain I guess.

We have always used Royal Mail 48 as our parcel delivery method.
Royal Mail 48 has a barcode tracking number.
This method has worked well for years. Yet since 31/05/2024 the barcodes no longer register with Amazon software. The Royal Mail website indicates that a oarcel has been delivered, with a photograph as evidence.
