Hi All,

I had opened the United Kingdom new seller account in error from the Global Selling page with misunderstood information on 21 September. We are a verified North America handmade seller by Amazon.com.

I followed the steps incorrectly, I should have said extend since I have a verified amazon.com handmade account, but I said create a new account and I misunderstood what they wanted me to do when creating an Amazon UK (European) account and added my mother's information (We work together). And now I'm stuck on the setup part. I've asked for permission to resolve this situation with Amazon support many times but to no avail.

I would like to apply to close the Amazon Europe marketplace that was opened in error. Unfortunately, there is no option for me to do this. I would like to recreate the account with the correct information.

I provided all the information with pictures but no one solved my problem. I am stuck, I keep getting atomic replies. And none of the replies you sent are my solution.

This isn't seller support, so we are not the ones sending out the replies/solutions ! - this is a forum of of other sellers. I am thinking you may end up with some problems as they may link the two accounts, especially if they have the same log-in, email bank details etc. I am not sure that you can close the EU marketplace, it would need to be put on holiday setting, and to start over again the accounts would be linked.

Hello fellow sellers,

I’m reaching out to the community because we are truly at a loss with Amazon right now, and I’m hoping for advice or support from those who may have experienced something similar.

On 5th September, UPS delivered 2 pallets containing 70 cartons of home textile products to Amazon, confirmed through UPS LOTS. These products were supposed to be delivered into Amazon's warehouse by 7th September, but here we are, and they're still marked as “in transit.”

We’ve been trying to resolve this issue with Amazon’s support team since 14th September, but we’ve only received one reply – one, in all this time. No updates, no explanation, no clear information on what happened to our stock. Our business depends on these products, and every passing day without an answer is putting us at risk. It’s frustrating, it’s stressful, and frankly, it feels like we’re being ignored.

How can we move forward when such a crucial part of our business is just lost in the system with no help from Amazon? We are genuinely worried about the impact this delay will have, and it’s disappointing to be left in the dark like this.

Has anyone been through this? What should we do next? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We just want to know where our pallets are and why Amazon isn’t responding.

We had a similar issue. If its gone to one of the LBA's it's probably been redirected for storage until they have capacity to process it. Ours too about 4 weeks to get checked in. It could be the same situation with other centres.

LOTS isn't that useful on the tickets, but I managed to talk to someone on the phone who was helpful and told me during this.

There's nothing you can do I'm afraid but wait.

Dear Sellers,

My company based in UK and I do not have a VAT number because I have not reached the exemption limit.

If I supply the product from Germany (or an EU member country) and ship it to the customer via FBM from an a warehouse in Germany (or an a warehouse in an EU member country) or directly from the supplier.

Do I have to get a VAT number from Germany?

1. No way to stop EU businesses buying your products and then complaining about duty.

2. DD+7 has been implemented without (recent) warning.

3. GPSR - too onerous on small businesses.

4. IOSS badly implemented.

5. EU Packaging rules (Mainly Germany)

Mainly the fault of Brexit/EU but Amazon doesn't help.

I've shut up shop in the EU. Just waiting to be paid.

The way I see it, yes sellers should be responsible for what they do. Equally Amazon should be responsible for their platform. It's full of people selling Cadburys and Haribo products (just to mention two) under fake brands and it's quite obvious that it's not stuff that comes from wholesalers. As long as Amazon pretend not to see that, there will be sellers listing their products under brand JIOUYHJIILL.or whatever.

Amazon will not help if the mistake is made by the seller, the onus is always on the seller to do things correctly, but you're right in a way, that new sellers can fall into the many potential pitfalls.
