first off, I am completely new to selling on amazon, and this is me trying to make my first listing.

I bought some products from alibaba from one specific chinese brand, and am trying to sell them here.

In the listing creation tool I applied for approval to sell the brand, and I get an e-mail saying:

"UPC owner and Brand do not relate". After some googling around finding out what UPC means, I contact support to explain to me in a bit more detail what this means for me and my business plans, what I have to do etc.

I get an email in response just repeating the very same that was said earlier:

"UPC owner and Brand do not relate".

since they keep repeating the very thing I asked them to explain in more detail, I turn to you guys.

have any of you had this issue?

what does it mean for me and my plans?

I can't imagine a chinese brand that allows several distributors on alibaba to sell their stuff globally minds that it is sold by someone on amazon...... so what's the issue here?

to confuse things further, this is not my first attempt. an earlier application for the same product was denied and the email I got said " After investigation, we have identified that the brand you are attempting to list with is already registered or approved on Amazon.".........

any advice and help would be much appreciated, and with a lot of gratitude

I have ordered UPC code, and I am in the middle of listing my first product. My products are with alibaba manufacturer. I am listing it on Amazon new brand listing. My question. Once I have the barcode, who applies the barcode on the product? Alibaba or Amazon or me? Am selling it through Amazon FBA.

Is anyone facing any ad results in data update delayed or does the data updated look abnormal if compared with the previous day? especially order conversion on 18th June 2024 ads performance results.

because normally our UK Amazon STORE PPC ads campaign will generated at least 25 order conversion and above daily but suddenly dropped to 2 order converted only on 18th June 2024 and its never happened before even i checked 1 day earlier which is 17th June ads result also had converted 35 orders .

I have check for all the campaign budget utilization , BuyBox Availability and son on but all seems normal .

We're affected by this too, near perfect VTR score, now dropped below 95% over the last 2 days.

Ours are all issues with APC overnight tracking but we have checked all of them individually and all have at least 4 scans and have been delivered. We flagged this yesterday with Seller Support

I am listing a gaming PC which I branded and made, so i bought a UPC code on barcode mania as explained on youtube but I keep getting this error message when I try to submit the product.

If i tick it does not have a brand it automatically chooses "generic" and i still get the error message.

Or if i write my brand name into it it says its not a brand that exists on the system.

In short: NO

Full refund is granted for item return, no matter that supplement is no longer sellable as it has been opened.

Lots of Amazon customers are just testing different supplements and return them after a week or so with "doesn't agree with me" comment. Some others expect miracles after just 1 week of supplementation and will return with "not as described" comment, especially if you promised effectiveness but forgot to mention that couple of months are needed to see the results.

So you have to include this "risk free purchase" approach from customers in your profit calculation. You can find typical return rates for category in Growth > Marketplace Product Guidance > Category Insights - select UK, HPC category and then subcategories and you will see return ratio % below the graphs.
