Transfer Account - Legal Entity Change

We changed our company name earlier this year. I don't recall it being particularly traumatic. We got a certificate of change from Companies house to show the previous and new name. I think there was another document, perhaps a bank statement with the new name and it all got verified within a few days. Everything else stayed the same, personnel, address, company and VAT numbers, etc. I can't remember the exact details, so it must have been straight forward.

However, please don't blame me if it all goes wrong. Make sure everything is in place beforehand, then check it 3 or 4 times, no full stop in the wrong place and Amazon don't accept tipp-ex corrections on your screen. Apparently, they don't show on anyone else's screen.

Hi,

I'm hoping a mod can assist here. I need to change the legal entity on my EU seller account, this is to the same beneficial owners but just a different company name. I know i need to do this via https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/compliance/legal-entity-change however i don't know how long it takes Amazon to action and if there are any pitfalls i should be aware of before doing this. We really cannot afford to lose our account as we head into Q4 but this needs to be done ASAP.

If anyone has been through this process and has any advice i'd be grateful for your feedback!

Customer service said the following in a case below. It seems they are unaware that there is a transfer account button on the seller central.

I highly doubt it takes 20 weeks or a year to get the new owner verified.

My name is Lian. I understand that you have queries about Transfer account option.

If you would like to request to change the account from [LE1] to [LE2], such request needs to be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Verification Team. Please email the Verification team directly with the following information for their consideration, if you decide for a transfer:

For the Current registered entity:

•Name of the current entity:

• Country of Establishment:

• Type of entity:

• Beneficial Owner(s), if applicable:

• Reason for the change:

• Will the original entity be dissolved?:

For the new entity you're requesting to change to:

• Name of the new entity:

• Country of Establishment:

• Type of legal entity (e.g. limited company, partnership):

• Beneficial Owner(s) of the new entity, if applicable:

Their email address is seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk , but please ensure you email them from the primary email address of your account.

Please be aware, such legal entity changes cannot always be approved as it is not legal possible. In such cases, the Verification team will ask you to open a new Payments account with the new legal entity details.

***IMPORTANT***

On average, such requests can take 20 weeks or more for a decision to be made, even I saw a case which takes around a year, but it does depend on each individual situation, and this process cannot be expedited by the Verification Team, or by us here in the Verification Assistance Team.

ITALY VAT claiming back VAT prepayment.

In 2020, I was still on PAN FBA with Avalara. I made Italy VAT prepayment.

In 2021 after BREXIT I stopped selling in Italy, and now I have over 2000 euro overpayment.

I was told by Avalara I have to wait at least 2 years to get it back. Now it is over 3 years.

Has anybody asked for refund from Italy for pre Brexit VAT prepayment?

Over the past 12 months plus, amazon seller have deactivated my account and are asking me to verify details of someone who is not associated with my seller account. I am the only registered person on the account. I have raised this issue several times and all they keep saying is I either have to verify the person which is clearly fraud or wait for the internal team to get back to me. All I did was change my sole trader to limited company. This is a whole palava and causing me a lot of headache as I have told amazon its an error on their end. every advisor I speak to has either no idea or agrees. I even had an advisor check all my details and asked them to tell me where this persons name is that I have to verify anywhere on my account, in which she agreed that the name does not appear anywhere on my account. I have sent them my ID to verify its me. seller support is terrible and no one will or cannot give me an update. INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING!! Has anyone else come across this?

the above I wrote 10 months ago! Nothing has changed. I explained to them I am the only person is registered on the account , I am the only director on the business. This is not difficult to resolve. All they have to do is ask me for my details and no one else's, however they are soo incredibly stupid, they can't figure it out. I may sound rude, but 12 months to resolve my issue?? Is totally unacceptable.

Help with Customer - Compensation

Hi all,

Just looking for some advise as this is the first time this has happened to us.

Customer has purchased an item which they said has arrived damaged and from this they have cut their finger. They contacted us saying they are seeking compensation

Yes we have all insurances in place etc - but how do i respond? What is the process? I am certainly going to ask if the customer is ok and in good health hoping they have not hurt themselves too much damage.

But they have not provided any photo, evidence etc if they want to make some sort of claim for compensation? Additionally the item is less then £10 which if broken, would have happended during transit. We package all our goods well, hardly have had any broken deliveries but again this is out of our hands and would have happened in transport.

Any help would be appreciated - just don't know how to respond..

yup, I tagged an Amazon associate in my thread who had asked for such issues to be highlighted and had no response. I wrote to the MD and they did nothing with it either apart from give it to seller support who sent me the usual garbage about providing invoices.

I am becoming the victim of a parallel import scam from someone registering brands they don't own. I have received 4 complaints from one seller who is registering trademarks on brands they don't own. There was a previous thread on this that is now locked. I'd like to highlight this seller as well. How do I do that pls? I don't wish to publically name and shame, but I can do if requested. Brands that are owned by KraftHeinz, NewellRubbermaid in question here.

Hi Spencer

Am now reaching out in desperation to you as I am getting no help with seller support.

The past 5 days I have lost my featured offers eligibility on all of my active asins. I have gone down to 1 sale since then and am desperate to get this sorted.

The majority of my asins I am the only seller. The sellers that are getting the featured offers are mainly new sellers with no feedback and are not even prime eligible.

This seems so unfair especially when seller support say it is a fair process for all sellers which it clearly is not.

Seller support constantly gives a generic reply stating what makes factors influence the featured offer and I meet all of these so nothing makes sense

My account health is excellent standing and I am now at my wits end trying to sort this.

I appreciate that you must be so snowed under but I would really appreciate it if you could get this looked into. I have asked seller support to escalate the issue but nothing is being done.

I would suggest changing your selling plan to individual until sorted to avoid monthly charges. You can upgrade once your sales warrant it.

If you have just signed up, it can take quite some time for Amazon to verify you.
