Amazon changes own polices depending on how it suits them!
Ok so we all know that the 95% VTR is flawed and is wholly dependant on RM postie scanning everything they deliver. I have gone from 90+% to 73% over the past few weeks. I assume this is because i have had an uplift in sales. I have never meet the 95+% but i cant change that and is in the hands of RM doing things correctly.
I also have had a few phone calls from Amazon asking for the reasons why its not over 95% and have explained the reasons which they seem to understand but just keep telling me to ask RM to make sure the postman must scan all items.
So i have now had an A-Z claim for non delivery. Upon checking the postman has scanned as delivered and the GPS on the scan shows at the correct place for delivery. Customer claims not had it. Yet all info shows on the RM tracking delivery scan. I appealed the A-Z case and Amazon has denied the appeal.
So what is the point of having delivery scans on items? Amazon what them to be 95+% yet they wont use it for non delivery claims! Just seems very pointless.

Unfortunately it is not related to postie scanning item or not. This is debacle of Amazons A-Z claims, they are most of the time 99,99% customer focused and so does not matter what you will appeal, you will get rejection. Most of the appeals are dealt by bots which will just reject it automatically. This is very well known fact and scammers customers use it very regularly! One of the solutions is to use FBA, where I think this A-Z policy is created to force sellers to use FBA.Not fair.Good luck

My most recent A-Z - no prior contact from buyer, confirmation of delivery, A-Z granted, appeal denied despite the careful wording you mention and all relevant facts included. The usual rejection: no signature. My metrics are fine but for me they use the no signature reason every time.

I had to refund on an item a few weeks ago, which had been door stepped scanned.
The customer said she hasn’t go it
It was like speaking to a brick wall, as although I replied to every one of her 4 messages claiming non receipt advising her to liaise with her local Sorting Office, it fell on deaf ears.
I suspect she’d turned off her inward contact.
I sought help from SS who said (I quote)
“you don’t have to refund her, however, if you don’t you may find you have to represent yourself in court”
jeezo for £4.99!
I refunded her and moved on, thankful it was under a fiver, I know many others have lost alot more
