Buying Shipping through Amazon Problems

Hi all, since we have been buying shipping through amazon we are receiving so many emails saying customers haven’t received items.

We started early March, and already had about 10 emails regarding nothing being received.

Is there a tracking number I can track? We had no issues before when we sent through our own Click and Drop.

I have only changed due the VTR

What service code were you using in c&d and for what format ?

What service are you purchasing? Are you using the same service now as to C&D?

It may well be a coincidence.

I have seen an increase in items being received late by customers. I have had large letters take over a week to be received and one even took a month.

Hello United_Elec_Products

If you go into your Shipped Order List and click on the Edit Consignment button for an order, further down that page you will see the Tracking ID number that Amazon has generated for that item.

You can then put that into the Royal Mail Track & Trace page for delivery confirmation (if it was scanned on delivery)

Hope that’s a help

Brian

Do you have a big turnover?

10 INRs in one month is quite a lot unless you are selling big volumes.

I doubt your issue is directly related to Buy Shipping per se. There is likely something else going on.

It could be as simple as the depot your mail is processed through, is currently experiencing delays.

I’ve sent about 500+ letters and large letters during March, with the majority of those purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping, I think I’ve had one of those customers contact me for an item not received.

I wonder if it’s something to do with Amazons improved visibility of shipments when you use Amazon Buy Shipping and therefore, their ability to send the ‘Your parcel may be lost, claim a refund now’ emails earlier than they normally would?

That increased visibility into my business is why I don’t want to use Buy Shipping.

If that is the case, and you are correct, then that is a worrying feature.

Hi Brian, thanks for your reply. I can see that your label has a tracking ID added. The problem with us is there isn’t one.

The only difference I can see is that you are using 2nd Class Signed for whereas we are just purchasing 2nd Class Parcel labels.
We were forced down this path by Amazon and there is no benefit to us at all, in fact it is a backward step. Does anyone know whether Amazon or the customer can see when a parcel is delivered? We have had a first query from a customer - INR, when in fact it was delivered after I trawled back through the mountain of individual paper receipts that our PO give us now and looked up the barcode on the RM tracking site.
