Unable to delete inactive product

When I try to delete an inactive product I get this message with 2 choices. Cancel and OK

“ Are you sure? You will permanently remove the product or products you have selected and their associated SKUs from your inventory listing. Also, if you have selected products with variations, those variations will also be permanently removed.
Please note: After you delete an SKU from your inventory, you cannot add an identical SKU and associated product information until 24 hours have passed.”

I have tried pressing ok but nothing happens. Been at this for ages. I thought it would be simple. Grateful for anyone’s help.thank you.
