Confirmation Bias?

Confirmation Bias is a condition where we tend to make what we see fit our current beliefs. It’s a natural effect of the human brain which is an emotional machine rather than a purely logic driven difference engine.

That being the case, is it just me or for those of us that trade in multiple online market places, has anyone else noticed the drop to almost nothing in INR claims on eBay due to delivery confirmation, and the huge increase in INR claims on Amazon because they still don’t accept it as POD?

Yes, its just you.

We dont use any form of tracking whatsoever on any site and our losses are equally tiny here or ebay.

We sell more on Amazon and get slightly more Item Not Received claims, but nothing we worry about. The amount we get would never justify the increased cost of sending by a tracked service considering 90% of the things we sell are letter or large letter size. I think on Amazon we have had 2 out of 900 items sent recently, which I’m not worried about.

Definitely a drop on eBay. Not noticed on Amazon but I’ve not been paying special attention.

Also noticed that there’s loads of eBay customers who claim the item hasn’t arrived, and then are never heard from again once I’ve messaged them to say that the tracking says it’s delivered.
Had a couple say, “oh… thanks, I’ve just found it…”
