Sigh, VTR again I'm afraid
So sorry for bringing up this old chestnut again!
I’d been working ok with VTR using: Royal Mail / 1st Class
My VTR was showing Exempt
A while back I switched to Royal Mail / 2nd Class
My VTR still showed as Exempt (i think!)
Then I switched back to Royal Mail / 1st Class again
I noticed that I now needed to press confirm twice as initially it requests a tracking number
I didn’t think anything of this because this had happened before without causing a problem, although it had stopped doing that.
Now it appears my last 10 orders have been recorded as not having tracking and my VTR is down to 0%
Have I had a brain wobble here - am I doing something wrong?

A change from 1st to 2nd class will make no difference.
How and from where are you buying your postage ?, and do you confirm shipment manually or do you have a linked C&D account ?

I buy postage online from RM Click&Drop (personal account not business).
The account is ‘linked’ to Amazon in the sense that it populates the order in C&D for me - but i confirm shipment manually selecting Royal Mail and 1st Class from the drop down menus

Hi LazyCarrotTrees
It sounds to me as if you’re marking items as shipped using the Royal Mail 1st Class or Royal Mail 2nd Class tabs, which need a Tracking Number nor they are invalid for VTR!
Look at the VTR Report to confirm this
If you are not sending using a tracked method you need to use the Stamps/Franking tabs which exempt your packages from VTR
All Best

After all this time , i still cant work it out. We send everything click and drop but have never managed to get over 80%. On checking i found it was all the first class were not getting delivered the next day so we have now changed to special delivery. Been doing it for 3 weeks but it must only update once a month as its still sitting at 78%. My mate across the yard got kicked off a few weeks ago as he messed up and it went to 7% . Think they only way they will let him back is if he goes to amazon post .

Yes, when this whole vtr debacle began a lot of us sellers retroactively went in and changed the consigment info to stamps/franking on orders in the vtr report, even on orders that were several weeks old and delivered. It does send a shipping confirmation to the customer again but in the thousands we did that didn’t ever cause a problem (not one customer queried it).
