Buy Box help - New seller and can't understand what I'm doing wrong!

Hi there

I would really appreciate some help as I’m a new seller and have a new listing . It went live a couple of weeks ago and I made some good sales from the outset

However, I noticed over the weekend that I wasn’t winning the buy box despite it being my own product and having no competitors

I’ve been in contact with Amazon and ran through some issues I could see with inventory planning where it wasn’t picking up our sales and showing a poor IPI

Apart from that I’ve been told that I should look at my listing to find ways to maximise my chance of winning the buy box

I’ve been through the recommendations and really can’t understand what I’ve done wrong!

  1. As a seller I’ve already received three 5 stars review
  2. The product itself has two 5 star reviews from very happy customers
  3. I sell via FBA so have no issues at all with reliability and stock availability
  4. It’s my own bespoke design and I’m the only seller
  5. The listing has good images and relevant copy
  6. The product is priced very competitively for the category

Any help or pointers would be massively appreciated!

In the first 90 days you aren’t edible for the buy box. You also need to be a professional seller (paid subscription)

Thanks for coming back to me!

I’m a professional seller and have one other listing which went live and is winning the buy box despite having lower sales. Do you have any other advice?

Yes, as a newly registered seller, you will normally need to wait until at least 90 days past registration and process at least 1 order to be BuyBox eligible. FBA offers are exempt from this rule.

If you recently increased your price, this could result in the loss of BuyBox, even if you are the only seller on a listing - doing FBA.
