FBM listing winning buy box over FBA at same price

I’ve had a listing with both FBA and FBM (incase FBA stock runs out).

The FBA listing has always had the buy box until around 3 days ago and FBM has it, price is same and both options in stock.

What’s the best way to give the FBA listing the buy box without removing the FBM option? I was thinking to increase FBM price by £1? Is this the best option?

I have the same, I’m guessing amazon are trying to buffer off capacity in their warehouses. Very busy there right now so anything they can do to reduce their demand they will.

As every nice and clear from them to articulate what they are doing.

Platform is a great piece of work technically, the way they run it is pretty disgusting.

Have a look at the delivery dates showing on the different offers. It’s likely that it’ll be that the FBM offer can delivery sooner than Amazon is showing for the FBA offer (due to covid-19).

I thought this would be the case. Is there a way to put the FBM listing on hold or something? We only have it incase theres a problem with FBA, it’s more of a temporary backup if needed

Under normal circumstances i might say yes, but read some horror stories on price gouging, when in fact people just reacting to increased costs from their suppliers. Could go other way and decrease FBA, but from what I can see we have some listings that are cheaper on FBA than FBM but due to shipping times FBM is still getting buy box. We are holding firm in hope when FBA returns to normal it will sort itself out
