UK VAT Registration confusion

Hi Folks

I have a company with a long time UK registered VAT number and with our other external to Amazon products we do our own VAT calculations and payment to the UK tax office.

I have just signed up for Amazon and put up my first listing. How on earth do I tell Amazon that I don’t need their VAT services because I already have a UK VAT number. The company is registered in the UK so I also assume I won’t be doing “VAT payment at delivery location” as mentioned in the Amazon documents??

I hope someone is able to help with this. I have already started taking orders and, because I don’t know how to tell Amazon I am already VAT registered, I am losing the 20% which is being auto-deducted from my sales… Between that and the Amazon fee per sale I’m being left with hardly any profit on my listings.

Looking forward to some help if possible. Many thanks.
Chris

You need to add your UK vat number to your account in settings - account info - tax information

For them to be deducting 20% presumably means your address isn’t a UK address ?
