Aim for niche.
Best advice I can give you is randomly search through the catalogue for items with few seller offers, but with a fairly high sales rank, and see if they are things you can source. Chasing sales for items with dozens of offers is usually a lost cause, as these natural attract a price war.
Don’t be put off by the obscurity of the things you may chance upon by doing this. Your first major lines could be Plastic Pineapple Christmas Tree Decorations or Ozzy Osbourne Tea Cozies.
Another piece of advice I’d give you is start off with as low numbers of each items as possible until you know what sells. Don’t sink £1k into Boris Johnson wigs before you’ve had a few sales of them for example.
