Infringement type: Counterfeit

I buy and sell lots of different items and normally have no issue but occasionally i get policy warnings.
For example I list some kelloggs cereals i then get a policy warning not from kelloggs or someone with an agreement, but from someone who created the product page and put their name as BRAND despite the brand being kelloggs.

Am i wrong and how can i know which listings i can list on if i dont have agreement to sell from the major brand like kelloggs?

List on the correct listing. If the brand on the ASIN has been set to something other than the obvious brand - for instance a pack of Kellogg’s Cornflakes on a listing ‘branded’ Pete’s Cornershop then you shouldn’t list on it.

Thanks I’ll make sure to look out for it.

Though I don’t see how this benefits Amazon or customers it just leads to more listings of exactly the same item. And surely putting the brand as Pete’s cornershop when it’s Kellogg’s is just incorrect and misleading.

Thanks its annoying but sounds like something that cant do anything about, so appealing case or reporting or trying to change the listing wont be successful.
