Amazon brand registry
I recently had a product listing violation, which has since been resolved and violation removed. However i did not know at the time that there must be no violations in order for brand registry to be approved. So my application was declined for abusive conduct as soon as i submitted as it was ineligible. Now that i have removed violations and reactivated european marketplaces. I want to appeal my application rejection. However Amazon are now asking for a contract with third party manufacturer. I dont have a contract with my manufacturer in china, they laser my brand name on the product when i place an order. Does anyone have any experience with this and what documents did you provide in appeal?

Since when? We have enrolled the brand on the brand registry with a few minor violations. It must be something else than a listing violation.

As I understand to register a brand, if you’ve had pre-existing sellers account, that account must be clean of any performance failures: violations and metrics.
In hindsight, you shouldn’t have appealed, and wait till that violation on your performance dashboard clears and apply again to Brand Registry. I think it takes 180 days for violation to clear from dashboard.
Now you are appealing, and they want further info because that violation was there when you first applied for brand reg.
Your supplier is probably a middleman, most of them are. They may not even know who the manufacturers are. But they would be your. first port of call for support.
Not sure what docs Amazon wants. Perhaps just a letter from manufacturer confirming that they produce your products. The middleman, who laser cuts, could simply be the exporter/wholesaler.
Otherwise, don’t appeal, drop the whole thing. Await till your account is free of violations and your metrics are peak and apply to brand reg again.
Dunno, I’m just thinking logically, but Amazon may have other rules.

yes thats not the problem. You need both docs to appeal though.

no, when i click on appeal. i get
Appeal Submission Form
Appeal submission for your Brand Registry enrollment application that has been rejected as the account is involved in one or more abusive conduct on our website or you are related to an account that was used for abusive conduct. Please ensure that you answer all questions or upload all documents as instructed unless it is marked optional.
• Do you own the Trademark of the brand for which the appeal is being submitted for?
Yes I own the Trademark.
I do not own the Trademark but I have authorization from the Trademark owner to represent the brand.
I am a licensee.
• Which of the two statements best describe the current manufacturing set-up for the brand being appealed? This is required so that we can guide you to upload the right documents which would aid our investigation process.
I have my own manufacturing set-up which manufactures majority of the products under the brand.
I have a contract with a third party manufacturer which manufactures majority of the products under the brand
My application says ineligible next to status on brand applications. Therefore i have to appeal this decision. Since I do not manufacture the products i have to select the 2nd option. I have to provide copy of the contract. I did read on the forums that an invoice works but i cant find the post now.

If you don’t have a contract of any kind presumably you’ve no agreement or protection to stop them making the same product for someone else?
Do you not have anything in writing from them?

So who’s involved in the production of your brand?
Seller_3U9WdViGssMN6
I found the topic where someone mentioned they provided invoice and it was fine, but obviously this all depends on whether the supplier was also a foreign entity. I have tried messaging the seller, hopefully they will reply soon.

I have not submitted an appeal yet, but my supplier did send me a standard contract agreement template for me to edit according to my brand. I will upload this on this forum before submitting to get everyones opinion on it. I also had no violations but all my european accounts were deactivated for being inactive for 2 years and 6 months. I reactivated them all now. Hopefully my account is no longer considered “abusive”

Hmm. Just checked - all my European accounts are still active (Although I don’t use them)… Wish they had the technology to give us a clue…
