Valid Tracking Rate
I have been using Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service through our click and drop account for all inland shipping for many years, and we post the RM tracking number when confirming we have shipped the order on Amazon, butI still get ‘your VTR is below 95%’ emails, I downloaded the error report, and many of the genuine tracking numbers are declared ‘invalid’, we are 75% instead of over 95% for valid tracking. Does anyone have any ideas? I spent over 1/2 hour ‘chatting’ to try to sort this out, but just seemed to go in circles.
Thanks for any help.

As per their policy, they will validate any unscanned items that are sent with tracking - including Tracked 48 and RM48
Have you downloaded your defect report to check there is nothing else on there ?

Hi David
I don’t know how many items appear on your report as having ‘invalid’ tracking numbers, but you can check what Royal Mail thinks of their status through their Track & Trace…
https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/
If they say they’ve received the item then they haven’t scanned a delivery (attempt) yet.
If the tracking numbers entered numbers are correct, as The Little Shop says, they should be validated in retrospect

I missed that.
Could they not link the C&D to Amazon so they automatically upload the tracking without having to do it manually ?
