Buying Postage on Amazon Over Easter
Could someone please let me know if I buy Royal Mail postage on Amazon today, Thursday April 9th what is the date on the label it has to be taken to the post office by.

Surprisingly says post by end of 10th April for 1st and 2nd class so no allowance for Bank Holiday.

Oh joy. Buying postage today shows bank holiday Monday as the latest date to take it to the post office. I can see bank holiday Monday being a busy day for me. Thanks Amazon!

I’m guessing that to be honest sticking it in a postbox is not going to be a problem. I think Royal Mail have more important things to worry about … they will probably turn a blind eye … I always over estimate and waste a fortune in postage … I am considering sticking a few normally 101 gram 1st class large letters through as 99 gram 2nd class and see what happens … but I’m too honest !

I have a grand total of zero Amazon orders today to check this out on but I thought that when buying postage there is an option to change the dispatch date? Doing so would presumably change the ship by date on the label also.

Mine have all got the 15th on. Are you not changing the dispatch date? It doesn’t have to be today if you’re not taking it til the 14th? The extra days are allowed for in your dispatch times - or mine are anyway
