Refund for Seller Fees when unable to sell
I opened a seller account nearly 3 months ago and was told I need to speak to an advisor for which an appointment was made back on June for 15th July (so I had to wait for about a month). The date came and the advisor did not call. Since opening the account, I have paid £30 x 2 and will have to pay again soon.
I have lost hope and interest in getting through to them and would like to close my account but have been charged money for nothing as I was unable to sell anything.
Can anyone advise how I can close my account but get my money back?
Thanks

I’m not entirely sure why you were told that you needed to speak to someone. There is absolutely no need for that and what will actually be, is a sales call.
You can get your account setup completely on your own, without any amazon help.
As to the money you have been charged, you simply need to downgrade your account to an individual account. Then open a ticket with support basically asking for your money back, as you opened the wrong type of account. Then when you are ready to start selling properly, change it back to a professional account.

So you are not charged again you need to go to Settings (top right of seller homepage - Account Info - My Serviices - Manage - and downgrade from professional to Individual.
Then as Neil says, opena case with Seller Support (Help) and request a refund of the fees paid as you have not sold anything.
Do not completely close your account unless you are absolutely sure you will never want to sell on Amazon again - you are as well just leaving it dormant in case you do sell again, as you could hit problems trying to open another account in the future
