As I sell lots of incense and other products like aroma and essential oils that once opened, they can't be resold, returns are a major problem for me. Even because I have received quite often empty boxes and bottles with things like "product not as described" But they still used it all or most of it. And I have to pay for the return label (overpriced for a 30 g flat box of incense). This trend is getting worse and on average I lose about £30-40 a week in returned empty boxes which would be nothing for others, but a lot for a small business like mine.
I tried to find a solution to this problem but it's all brick walls. Safe-T tells me that because they are consumables they shouldn't be returned and therefore I am not entitled to compensation if the box is empty. I wasn't the one who decided they should be returned. Seller Support said Amazon decides which products can be returned, if Amazon decided that these products can be returned, even if opened or completely used, I have to live with that.
I tried to stop returns for anything under £4 but that meant that people just got refunded for everything while often they give up if they have to return the item, they try this for a freebie and I don't want to make their lives easier.
Any constructive advice? Thank you
