How to close US account but keep UK one?
We opened a USA account for 1 item but it’s not selling well enough for it to be worthwhile. How do we close our US account without impacting on our UK account? I have seen suggestions of going into holiday mode but that will still incur monthly fee (nice little earner Amazon) and/ or going into private seller mode (no fees) but don’t want that to affect our UK account. As usual info on Amazon is not clear.

I downgraded my US account and it didn’t affect my UK account which I still have on the professional plan. Or do you have your accounts linked? (paying one monthly subscription for both?)

Please note that your Amazon Europe and North American accounts aren’t linked in any way and a potential closure or downgrading would only affect the specific marketplace where it was requested.
Based on your post, I would advise you to simply downgrade it’s Selling Plan into Individual, which you can do after following this link:
As after closing the account, it wouldn’t be possible to have it reopened. If you decide to do so, don’t forget to regularly visit it to ensure there is a valid charge method on file.
