New Product Labelling Query
Hi There,
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I’ve created a new product. It’s play mate, printed using a local printer and i’m hoping to sell it under games and toys. I applied to not have a bar code and this was accepted and I’ve managed to set up the listing but then I had to submit it for approval. It didn’t meet the requirements. I was wondering if anyone can help me work out what I need to do next.
These are the reasons it failed…
The images provided are unclear and the text is illegible. Please provide legible images reflecting each side of the product packaging.
The images are clear enough but they are of the actual product. Not the packaging. I don’t actually have any packing as I was going to post the play mat rolled up in a cardboard tube. I have a small label on the product with the logo on so maybe I can add more detail here.
The images provided do not contain all sides of the product packaging. Please provide images of the physical product, showing all sides of the product packaging with product information.
I did show every side of the product but I don’t have any product information on there. What Product information do I need?
The images provided do not meet the EU labelling requirements, which state that the label must contain the local language for the marketplace that the Seller is applying in. Please provide product images that meet this requirement.
The product is from the UK - Do I just need to add “made in the uk”?
The images provided do not meet the EU labelling guidelines, which state that address on the label must be that of an EU country. Please provide product images that meet this requirement.
Do I need to put an actual address? Or can I just put made in the uk?
The images provided do not meet the labelling requirements, which state that the label must contain a certification mark. Please provide images showing all sides of the product packaging including appropriate certification mark.
What is this certification mark? How do I get it and where is it from?
I’d really appreciate some help here as i’m completely new to this.
Many thanks for any help anyone can give me.
Thank you
Anthony

The only ones I can answer certainly are the last two.
Yes, you need an actual address - it’s for legal accountability. You can get a virtual office address for registration purposes if you don’t want to use your home address. But from what I know your address is on your account anyway if people look at seller details…?
The certification mark will more than likely be the CE mark. You should be able to self-certify, but I’d recommend finding a course to learn more about it and the requirements for applying it to your products.
