Explain the buy box
I dont understand the buy box properly.
Im the only seller of my item, how could anyone else possibly win the buy box?
Im also brand registered so have IP protection.
Also the buy box the last few days has gone to ‘–’ and does not show a percentage, is this a bug?
Can someone please clarify.

Yes mine shows as - too today . it’s a frequent issue
Go to help and type in buy box, it will give you the list of eligibility requirements

Just because you are the only seller doesn’t mean you are guaranteed the buy box.
i have went into a few listings before with no buy box
My buy box wins also shows – So I assume there is a glitch at the moment.

It is possible that if you have multiple variations for the same product, you may be the Featured Offer for some of them and not the others. This is because each variation is a separate ASIN.

You’re probably the same as almost every seller on here. The buy box is another world away from reality; there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how it works. We have some items where we are the only seller but no buy box appears. We have others whereby we are the lowest price and the fastest shipping (Prime) and still we don’t get the buy box. On other items, we seem to get the buy box without even trying. It’s complete anathema.

I’m in Amazon Handmade and am the only seller of my products (that I design and then physically make) and my BB still goes up and down, so I completely ignore the BB as any kind of metric. Maybe I’m missing some fantastic business insight…or maybe I’m not.
