GS1 GTIN help help

Hello
I have purchased some GS1 bar codes, I have tried to add product in using these barcodes in seller central.
I dont get an error code, i get an error stating “the value specified for the field is lessser than the minimum allowed value”
I have tried UPC and GTIN, still will not work.
I have created a barcode in GS1 and tried that number and same thing.

I cannot use someone elses product, my product does not have a brand, but something already listed is similar

must be missing something really simple but i have spent hours trying
any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried EAN? (20 CH)

What brand name are you putting in?

Some brands have locked their barcodes against their products and you can’t use that brandname with a EAN that isn’t theirs. That is the error I get when trying to use my own GS1 with their brand name

When did you purchase the GS1 codes? I believe it can take up to 48 hours to filter though.

Try a different number, maybe that barcode is locked into Amazon from before.

And what exactly is it you are trying to list?

IE:
An unbranded product with no barcode?
An unbranded product but who’s barcode is linked to a branded listing?
An item you made yourself that doesn’t have a barcode?
An item you made yourself that you create with a barcode?

You need the check digit, Amazon uses GTIN14

On your GS1 Account, you can pick what type of code you want, for example the one I use (not on here yet) is EAN 13.

Hi
It must be EAN 13 digit in amazon, nothing else works, however you might also need to register your brand name and have this verified by amazon
The first 8 digits of the code generated by GS1 is you company name I believe, amazon matches this with the codes you input, we went through the whole process with amazon a few years back and no longer have issues
Once you submit your brand name this cannot be changed and entering codes is simples after you have done this

If you don’t have a brand, list them as Generic. In this case, you will not need EAN/UPC codes. It is good to register your brand as soon as possible. Always contact Seller support with any issues you have with listing a product. I had similar problems before, my codes were rejected, and they helped me.
