1 Star review for customer service - not a verified purchase

Hi,

We’ve just received a 1 Star product review stating the below

‘Cant get it to work, customer support no help at all. Written many emails, facebook posts but most are either a set reply, replied asking for more info then ignored or just ignored. Had them 5 days now and nothing. Avoid buying these at all costs. Nearly £33 down the drain.’

This review is not a verified purchase, therefore they’ve bought this from some 3rd party site and are now warning people not to buy from us, we sell them at £29.99 as well not £33, no idea where they’ve bought this item but how can we be negatively affected from an experience they’ve had with customer service elsewhere?

Is there anything that can be done regarding this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I’ve had exactly the same, complained to Amazon that it was a fake Amazon review but they don’t care.

The question is why do Amazon even allow reviews from non verified sales…

Exactly, this kind of thing is incredibly ridiculous and unjust. Makes no sense at all.

Don’t forget the “rating” system. Customers can leave a 1* rating completely anonymously. Great for competitors to kneecap your new products!

Surely Amazon know that all this underhanded stuff happens by now and would have thought to do something to stop it? I wonder if Amazon are the ones doing it to promote their own sales via FBA/Vendor etc, i heard they’re being investigated for this kind of thing at the moment. Would explain why they have no desire to change the crooked system.

Just on another note regarding my issue, does this review not break the community guidelines, especially where it states under

"Seller, order and shipping feedback

We don’t allow reviews or questions and answers that focus on:

*** Sellers and the customer service they provide"**

Is this review not about the sellers and the service provided?

Doesn’t really regard the product at all, they could have had some kind of issue during the setup process and wanted some help and never got it, that’s what it sounds like. This is crazy!
