MCF IS A COMPLETE SCAM!

I just started using Amazon MCF to fulfill Etsy orders. I'm a single-employee, owner-operator and MCF sounded like a great solution to free up time and get orders out faster. MCF is really the ONLY reason we decided to send FBA inventory after reading the hundreds of FBA horror stories here and on various YouTube channels.

Recently, one of our MCF orders, shipped with Amazon Logistics was marked as LOST. The Etsy customer reached out to us for a replacement and I reached out to Amazon for reimbursement for the lost package. Seller support confirmed that the order was lost, but offered a refund for HALF of what the item was worth. In fact, the refund didn't even cover cost of the handmade item itself and fees were not reimbursed either.

When reaching out about the incorrect reimbursement amount, Seller Support said:

For any cash reimbursements, we will determine the estimated proceeds of sale. This amount is the estimated sale price of the item for which you’re being reimbursed minus referral fees and FBA fulfillment fees. As our policies states, "MCF fulfillment fees and items in orders that are marked as delivered by the carrier aren't eligible for reimbursement".

Not understanding how the proceeds of the sale are "estimated" when I submitted the Etsy receipt showing exactly how much the order was. The sale price of the item also matches the list price on Amazon.

I understand not reimbursing fees when the order is marked as delivered. But this item was marked as LOST by Amazon Logistics!

So as I now understand it, if I receive an order on a 3rd party channel and fulfill with MCF, and that order is lost. Amazon can make up a number as to the sale price, regardless of receiving proof of sale, and refuse to refund delivery fees, even when their own system says the item was NOT DELIVERED. Make it make sense!!! And this is BEFORE the holiday season has even started!!!

Honestly, just trying to get through this holiday season, deplete our current FBA inventory, and be done with Amazon. I'm sure if I add up all of the FBA fees, lost inventory, ad costs, inbouding shipping charges, inventory placement fees, low inventory fees, FBA storage fees, and the "we just don't gaf about sellers" fees, I could apply that money to a marketing budget and drive sales equal to if not BETTER than what Amazon brings... with 99% less stress. Not to mention the countless of other fulfillment channels (Shopify's Flexport, TikTok & Walmart fulfillment, etc.) that have human, US-based support for the sellers that trust them with their inventory.
