Ex private label sold product, now in my possession

Hi,

I recently bought a wholesale order, from what I now know was a private label on amazon, no longer in business and no longer sells on Amazon, this is unusual for me just now and looking to see how this can be listed exactly?

To confirm, there was a FNSKU in the packaging from the wholesaler, there is no Barcode of any kind, and is not sold anywhere on Amazon/Europe - Wholesaler told me they received this as the company and ceased trading and had no use to it. The product is very profitable and very popular.

Can anyone advise me the best way to get this on Amazon, would I need to obtain a barcode etc?

Thanks

It depends on where you have bought it from.
If you have bought from one of the discount sites, ie. (bstock, gem wholesale and so on) then there is probably an exclusion in the contract, to actually not sell it on Amazon.
If so, your best bet is to sell on somewhere like Ebay.

You could create a listing for it, but do you have brand? Or is it going to be a generic item?
Either way, if Amazon check and you don’t have a manufacturers invoice etc, then you may have a problem.
To create the listing, you will need a barcode from GS1. Which is not cheap. Though you could get an exclusion, which depends on what the product is etc.
