Thank You Amazon fro a HORRIBLE Christmas
Have been doing SFP now for over 14 months and Amazon seems to take great delight in screwing all SFP Sellers. Since the beginning of November I have lost the Prime badge many many times, sometimes for an hour sometimes for days at a time, during the loss times my sales have declined terribly
I have had umteen messages back and fowards to Amazon with no joy at all. In the last 14 months I have managed to send every single SFP on time, and all have been delivered NEXT DAY, that is a far better ratio than I have even had on Prime deliveries to myself from Amazon themselves, when sometimes I have had them 3/4 days late.
ALL my SFP go on time, ALL my SFP have been delivered NEXT DAY, so how annoying that
since 1:30 yesterday afternoon I have not had a single sale, as all my SFP listing now say that
they will not be delivered until after christmas, Thanks Amazon, anything I sell between then and
Monday Noon I know will be delivered Christmas Eve, So thank you very much for screwing the
last possible good weekend of the year for me.
Just before 1:30 yesterday I had the best morning of the year, my SFP was showing get before christmas and they all actually was showing the Prime Badge, then as above NOTHING, just
goes to show what most could do with Amazon if they ever learnt how to run it properly.
Not sure if i will continue with SFP, my profit after Amazon fees ( 20% plus VAT ) the advertising (approx 20% plus VAT) leaves me very little, and while Amazon are still learning how to run it all the chance of losing a lot of money is always there.
I am a VERY small seller on Amazon so obviously they will not miss me, but how many more times does this have to happen before Amazon notice there losses and actually start to think something is wrong?

I lost premium shipping due to one item not being delivered on time. I get 400-600 orders a day at this time of year!
Amazon do not care about you as a seller! although 3rd party sellers like us make up some 60% of items for sale across the sites…yet a lying customer will get all the support and help known to man!

So sorry to see you are in the same boat as us! Our Prime badge and Next Day delivery was fine up until a few days ago and then everything went wrong. Nest Day delivery became 2 day and is now showing as next Saturday, despite us being both Prime and Premium Shipping eligible. We just started with SFP in the last few months and have NEVER had such lousy Christmas sales!! We have been emailing and live chatting Support now for days to no avail, getting a different nonsensical answer each time and no resolution. Our Ad campaigns have all disappeared too! We are seriously thinking about dumping SFP in the New Year as it is absolute rubbish. Merry Christmas Amazon…

Same boat here too! employed people to pack in the warehouse this Sunday so we can get all our orders out, but Amazon have changed all our listing to ‘delivery after xmas’ despite our courier collecting from us Monday afternoon for Tuesday delivery! Spent hours on the phone to Amazon, they said it’s a technical problem!!! So frustrating - lost the best weekend of the entire season and built product and employed staff to hand it - a real business killer!

I have to admit in 2020 i’m putting zero effort into my listings on Amazon.
Normally i’m fiddling around with keywords, titles making sure all the images are 100% compliant.
This year it’s been a constant battle AGAINST Amazon to get things as they should be in terms of the listings . I’d spend well over £1000 getting ghost mannequin shots of some of the underwear we sell because they don’t like it on human models only for the listing images to be replaced with non compliant images from a different seller, constant battles with seller support because the amazon catalogue team got details wrong for listings that they have done themselves (listing underwear as swimwear in the title) and then not changing it correctly as they are amazon and they can’t be wrong (that’s not me paraphrasing) .
All in all although we do decent sales on Amazon it’s just not worth the constant battle so listings will be made but i’m not wasting my time sorting things out all the time.

Same here. I can’t even put an announcement on our page in bold print because we are in handmade and are not allowed to use html. I only found out because I decided to check why sales had come to a halt. It actually says that our order may take longer to create. We have had items prepped so that we only had to put personalisation on tomorrow so that we could send out DPD on Monday.

yeh i had a notification yesterday asking to explain my dispatch dates were late for a certain period, we also dispatch daily on SFP as we were told to by CS. i had to submit a POA to explain something that i had no idea was an issue.

I think we just have to except Amazon do not listen,
Like so many others thinking of fresh pastures after the new year
Way to much stress and agro for things that are not our fault, and then you have no one to turn to for support, month by month its going downhill I think.
Same as you guys regarding the premium shipping etc, taken off me in November no reason why?
Plans submitted for what I don’t know everything in green and good, as others say its a glitch that we are working on.

I agree Amazon is only looking after Amazom. The seller support seems helpful but answers few questions. Maybe they have just got too big ?
Good luck with your sales on Amazon !
Best regards,

If your margin is that small, why don’t you put your price up and test to see if sales decline? Seems to be a loosing battle to try and operate on that small a margin.
Have you tried FBA at all? I have some products on both Merchant and FBA and my FBA increases sales hugely making up for the fractional loss of margin on it.

How do you explain to customers that Amazon are wrong? We are now getting hysterical customers who are contacting Amazon directly to find out where their SF items are. We sent items out 1st class signed for and some items haven’t arrived yet that were sent out last week. Customers are now being told by Amazon that they may not arrive until Friday. Items in the same manifest started to arrive 2 days ago, one arrived this evening after 7pm and there are still 2 days for them to arrive. Our SFP is showing delivery Friday but will actually arrive Tuesday if they are ordered until 1pm on Monday. We are now going to ignore messages until Monday when RM will start to deliver again as I am sure that most of them going hysterical will have received theirs by then. None of these items are actually late.
