Avoiiding Out of Stock Consequences

Hello Everyone,
Unfortunately I will be out of stock in five days , and I will be out of stock at least for 25 days. what can I do now to avoid losing my ranking and penalized by Amazon ?

You won’t be penalised by Amazon but you cannot protect your position whilst you leave it vacant. Your problem is a competitor opportunity.

When you say out of stock, are you talking about in the fulfillment centres and getting stock in or is this stock that you are holding and FBM?

If it is due to delays in getting stock to fulfilment then just ensure you maintain it yourself using FBM.

If it is a case that you have run dry and waiting on your next shipment to come in, then that is just business. You will obviously not benefit from these sales and someone else will step in and supply.

One of 2 things could happen once you resume stock. You may have overwhelmed your competitors causing them to run into similar problems that you have suffered or they could have coped well and when you return, you may have to work your way back instead of bouncing back.

If you know you are running out shortly, you may want to stem your sales by increasing the price, suspending advertising etc and once replenished, you could then discount, reinstate paused campaigns etc.
