How to provide trracking
I sell books through Amazon. They tell me I am not up to spec with tracking numbers. I use Parcel Monkey and thence Royal Mail. How do I do this., All our status percentages are top notch and our delivery times very quick but our tracking is zero. any help out there. Bryngoldbooks.

I assume you don’t send much that is actually tracked and it’s mainly large letter or small parcel? How do you currently record your shipping?

It all depends on how you actually confirm shipment.
If you are sending them untracked (and note - you do NOT need to send everything tracked even if Amazon Seller Support have said you should !) then you need to use the Stamps/Franking option in the second dropdown, as they are exempt from VTR calculation.
Any you do send tracked you must ensure you do put the correct tracking number, in the correct format - no spaces or hyphens if using the RM tracing number.
Alternatively, you could use Amazon’s ‘Buy Shipping’ where all your shipments will be validated, regardless of which RM or Hermes postal option you choose.

Correct. We only sell indidual books via amazon. These are ,mailed via Royal Mail as you suggested and are mailed within hours of order receipt. We are highly praised for all our mailing actions. Tracking is mainly used with orders that come in from wholesalers and is handled via our nominated couriers. Any thoughts other than making up a tracking ID to satisfy the software.

Hi as you use royal mail, if possible you can use 1 st or 2nd class sign for service that gives you BARCODE so you and even buyer can check on line on ROYAL MAIL TRACKING WEBSITE THAT THEIR ORDER IS POSTED and is coming. if you use this service then select 1st or 2nd class sign for service and in the space for tracking enter number which is given by post office on your receipt or you can order full roll of this labels from ROYAL MAIL WEBSITE and keep record of it. This numbers always start with two alphabet and then 9 numbers and always ends with GB.

0% Tracking Seems Odd! There are some VTR tracking faults at the moment but from my experience just seems to be with Royal Mail (which Amazon have been investigating for me for about 1 month).
