FBA taking way too long to update stock
Every time I send inventory to FBA, its taking longer and longer for them to get it in stock. I don't really understand why it should take longer than a week to open a box and count 10 sealed 9 x 12 bags. its hindering sales as I missed out on Prime day exposure. Why is it taking them so long?

Because *everyone* is sending stock to FBA and there are not magically more workers to take care of it all.

Hi @Seller_9CgWvl0Xwz91h,
Thanks for reaching out on the Seller Forums!
Please know that the shipment process can take a bit of time to complete due to a variety of reasons, including high volume as we are leading up to the holiday season.
For more information and best practices on the shipment process, I'd recommend reading through this help page.
Please continue to keep an eye on your shipment. If your inventory is not fully received once the shipment is closed, please reach back out to me in this thread so I can then assist further, if needed!
In the meantime, please let me know if you have any additional questions.
All the best,
Jameson

For me, before 2024-Sep, when shipment delivered at Amazon warehouse, it just took 0-2 days to receive.
After 2024-Sep, warehouse took much longer time to receive shipment---14days and 17 days for 2 of my shipments.
But back to 2023,2022,2021..., such things never happened, even at peak time( Oct-Dec).
There is somthing going wrong.

it is out of control, we switched to FBM. and now we control all the sales and we get to start selling right away.

I only have a couple listings on FBA so far, but each time, it takes 3-4 weeks before they're buyable. And I'm shipping it an hour away.

Having same experience. Shipped 9/21/24 and only one box was fully checked in and live for purchase out of two. Shows both boxes were delivered. Looks like they started on second box and stopped checking the items in.

It's just part of the process. My suggestion is to send multiple shipments of smaller quantities instead of 1 big shipment of large quantity if your workflow and inventory costs permit it. This way your inventory can be recieved in multiple locations so if there is a backlog at one, it will still be received.

From our experience, the time it takes for FBA to fully receive shipments and make the products prime eligible has increased over the past several months. For us, it is taking almost 60 days for the all of the items to be fully received and prime 1-2 day eligible but we are sending in a full truckload to one location. We are in CA and the FBA location for our last several shipments have been to the east coast. It brakes down approximately like this:
1. Approximately 30 days for the shipment to enter "receiving" after it is picked up from our warehouse
2. Then approximately another 30 days for FBA to re-ship a majority of our items in the original shipment to other FBA warehouses across the US.
So, for all of the items in the shipment to become prime eligible it is taking about 60 days.
I would recommend approximately 120 days of inventory in order to have 30-40 days of inventory prime eligible. What I mean by that is the following: approximately 40 days of inventory that is at FBA and prime eligible, approximately 40 days of inventory that is "in transit" to an FBA warehouse, and approximately 40 days of inventory that you are prepping to send in to FBA (we do assembly and packaging at our warehouse).
This is what we do in order to keep our FBA ASIN's 1-2 day prime eligible and available for sale.

It really depends on the FC it's being sent to.. .Sometimes it's scanned in same days it's delivered, sometimes a month out. Very hard to tell... I'm trying to get in all my xmas inventory before 10/31 and I'm going to sip margaritas for the next two months.
