Read onlyI’m in need of assistance. I operate a business outside the UK and sell my products on Amazon UK. This necessitates applying for a UK VAT number, which I did. Upon receiving my VAT number, I registered it with Amazon UK, and my “VAT Services on Amazon” status was updated to “registered”.
However, the following day (Dec 24, 2023), my account was deactivated due to an alleged failure to register my VAT number. In an attempt to understand the situation and find a solution, I reached out to Account Health Support and opened a total of 15 cases. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a clear explanation as to why my account was deactivated. Each time I contacted Account Health Support, I was told that my case had been “transferred to the internal team”, but I never received any feedback from this team. As I continued to request support and open cases, Account Health Support ceased responding and began closing cases without comment.
Simultaneously, I reached out to the VAT-appeal department. It felt as though I was communicating with an 'answering machine', as every query I made was met with a request to “provide UK VAT number”. Despite providing this information over 10 times, VAT-appeal eventually admitted they were unable to assist me and recommended I contact “Account Health Support”.
I have repeatedly requested contact information for a Supervisor or Manager, but these requests have gone unanswered. I’m at a loss as to what’s happening and what my next steps should be. Can anyone provide any guidance or contact information for a Supervisor or Manager?
