VTR rolling period for rates
Hi,
Could someone confirm if i am thinking this is right please, had notification about 2 weeks ago saying my VTR was bad i realised i was marking dispatched 1st class and no tracking info when i should have been marking stamped/franked. new notification today saying rate is still bad. Is this because it is done on 30 rolling day period so will take a few weeks to get rid of my mistakes in not marking previous orders correctly.

Since it’s done on a rolling 30 day period, the invalids will keep you at a low VTR rate until the window rolls passed them. Your rate won’t improve from the new ones coming into the window as they’ll be classed as exempt, so won’t be in the calculation at all.
The last thing to remember is that there is a lag on the report, so the VTR you have is calculated for the 30 days leading up to roughly 2 weeks ago.
