Omg HELP! Please
hi all i am super New to all this and mega confused and lost, i seem to have created an account possibly a business account not a individual, although it does say individual on left side column. i seem to have fulfilment by amazon active even though i don’t think i need it or i need to pay and some how i seem to have international amazon links.
my question is this all normal for a individual account for small sales and per item fees?

If you are buying items to sell for a profit then you do need a business account - you would’ve supplied either your UTR or Ltd company info as the two most common types.
Having FBA active doesn’t mean anything - just don’t use it if you don’t want to.
As for international links, if they are EU then that is completely normal. If they are links to places like the US, Japan etc then you have opened a global account by mistake.

Do i need to subscribe or am i correct in saying as i plan to only see a few items i can go on a Pay as you go kind of way ie pay fee per item and not subscribe to the full fulfilled etc etc

The Individual at the left there is for the Selling PLAN, not account type, and that is where you pay per sale, not a monthly fee, so all good.
You do need a BUSINESS seller account though, not an Individual ACCOUNT (I know confusing having the same name !), if you plan to buy items to sell on for profit.
With the Individual account you can only sell off your own personal used items (eg. books, DVDs,CDs etc)
Are you registered with HMRC as self-employed and got your UTR and supplied that to amazon - that is what is needed for a Business account.

think am getting there but its mega frustrating not been able to just call or online chat with someone. i am constantly in a waiting game send message wait 12-24hrs for reply fix the issue, send New message wait another 12-24hrs is daft.
why is there no seller chat or call service or am i just missing it?

apparently i was missing a doc for it it was in my list to send it needed a letterhead and info of authorisation. it was odd but that’s what appears to be holding the account.
its now saying i am awaiting confirmation checks upto 48hrs with possibility of 10days
but it says if New seller i can add products in parallel but when i try it just say account limited still so nee idea, guess am on that waiting train again…
think amazon have this zero tech support online or calling wrong its a very complicated setup for no support system but i think there seller base etc are better than ebays junk. so i will have to persevere as once setup it looks super easy to sell.
I hope once limitation removed i can remove fulfilled by amazon as for now i don’t need it and it seems to be locked on

it doesn’t need removing - you haven’t paid for it or have to use it - it just sits there on your account as an option
its pretty much the same as ebays shop subscriptions - no subscription - limited options on account and higher fees per sale (balancing out the subscription fee)
Professional plan is the same as a shop subscription - no additional pay per sale fees (referral still obviously) and report options etc
the main one though is your restricted buy box

i see now well yeah i think if i get back up and running i will subscribe to allow such things but for now maybe crawl before i can walk again. Going back to basics i think is the best option.
I think av sussed most of it out now same as ebay just different store i still have fees, check. i still have postage charges, Check.
all seems pretty straight forward just the registration process that’s holding me up and then i need to remove FBA for now.
