Read onlyI sent first 20 items to warehouse. I thought I set up individual but was professional. I have changed to individual. Can I now send 30 products a month to Amazon. Also what will happen with the 20 items I sent as Amazon asking me to add business name tax details etc. I am new to this just trying to get ungated this year on certain brands and I am having some problems. Any help would b appreciated.
Firstly, just checking that if you are reselling for a profit then you are registered with HMRC as a sole trader? with a a UTR number which is known to Amazon?
Also is your account fully verified before you sent the products into amazon?
Secondly, Amazon set you up as a professional (£25 per month) where you can sell as many items as you want and pay just one fee which can be downgraded at any time. You can use an individual account but this is only worthwhile if you sell 40 or less items a month as when an item sells you will also be paying a "per item fee"

Also regarding the business name and tax information, yes Amazon need this information so please try to fill in at the earliest opportunity to make your account fully verified.
Relating to the sending more products into Amazon, that is fine if they allow you to and you have been given the storage capacity.

Regarding the brands you want to sell you may need brand authorisation to sell those items on Amazon so be sure to have that in place before sending the items in. Amazon will at some stage ask for proof of your supply chain leading back to the manufacturer/brand owner, this is often through invoices to you from said manufacturer, brand owner or their recognised wholesaler. If not in place you could lose the items (and be charged for their destruction) or at the very least be paying for them to be returned to you.
Info in above reply is correct. If you are buying goods to sell on for profit then you must be registered with HMRC as self-employed (probably sole-trader to start off with), and have given your UTR to Amazon, for an Amazon BUSINESS seller account (which is not the same as professional).
To explain - there are two account types (the legal entity) - Business, and Individual (which is ONLY for selling off your own personal second-hand items such as books, DVDs, CDs etc).
Then there are two selling PLANS - professional (£30 a month) and individual plan where you pay an extra 90p per sale fee. There are no real limits as to how many items you can send except for any storage limits imposed.

If you’ve switched to an individual account, you can still send products to Amazon, but you’re limited to 40 items per month. The 20 items you already sent should be fine, but you might need to provide the business name and tax details Amazon requested.
