Can't do enough

The item did not arrive on the expected date. The customer has also received the refund but would like to receive the item because he needs it. Here we kindly ask you to inform the customer about the status of the shipment and**, if possible,** to provide the tracking number or to send a new item.
Thanks and good job.

It’s just the usual support repeating what the customer has asked.
I don’t think that they actually have a brain between them.

Well, don’t sit here messing around with your computer. Get on your Harley Davidson and rush a new item (and a free gift to say sorry) to the customer immediately

I would just say that “The item dispatch was automatically cancelled by our system when a refund for the item was issued as requested.” and leave it at that. Implying it is a process or system depersonalises it. Frankly it is a mickey take but there is nothing gained from saying that.

Was the item sent by special delivery to reach the customer by a certain date?

If so the customer may have a point since they paid extra to recieve it on time and it didn’t get there. If not (and I suspect it wasn’t) they ought to know that postal services are notoriously unreliable at times.

Perhaps it’s best if they don’t use online shopping if they are expecting things to arrive by certain dates.

Unfortunately by dishing out refunds like this Amazon have trained people to have unrealistic expectations. I wonder if this is a one off or this customer makes a habbit of it.

If only their seller support was as accommodating towards us.

no the item was sent to Italy, took too long to get there, so I refunded it

I had a 8% replacement surcharge applied to prices in Italy but once the actual replacement rate went above 12% I shut off the orders completely

We stopped shipping to Italy a long time ago. Too many things go missing.
