Listing has been Hijacked. Amazon refusing to help

Last week one of our ASIN’s title and brand name was changed by another seller.

The title now has a “2x” in front making everyone think that it is a 2 pack when it is not.
The brand name also has been changed to “kidsnado” which do not even sell these kind of items.

I contacted seller support and they say that because this brand (the new and incorrect one) is brand registered we have no rights to change the listing as they are the only ones that can do it.

This listing was created by us and we have been the only seller since we created it.

I’m out of ideas at this point but I don’t want to lose a listing with 5 stars and over 100 reviews.

Any help would be massively appreciated!

Finally some good news!

After trying every single thing on this thread and getting nowhere I ended up requesting one more call from SS. (After about 10+ useless ones)

This very sweet British lady picked up and she was extremely understanding and useful. At first she told me to report the listing because there wasn’t much she could do but after I mentioned that we are brand registered she said to leave it with her and see what she could do.

I then received this:

Lo and behold, after 24h the listing is now displaying correct information!
If anyone is dealing with the same thing, her name was “Jayne S.” and I called on Sunday at 6:33 PM.

I just have to contact the people that ordered now and offer £100s worth of refunds. Fun!

Keep pestering support, until you get someone with a bit of common sense.
I’ve managed to have things changed back eventually.
If however you don’t get very far, then your only option is to escalate to the MD’s office.

Google the asin to see if the old proper info is cached and screenshot it and send to SS

Use transparency labels. This might be first step recover your listing.

Same situation. The listing is mine but the brand name has changed to Kidsnado.
It happened previously too, changed to a different brand name. SS were not helpful at all, but the listing named changed back to the original brand after about a month.

Have you tried using the fix product page? I usually search that in the help section to get the right page. You can attach the screenshot for evidence at the end, when you’ve got through entering the ASIN and which part of the page is incorrect. We did this when we had our images changed to a completely different product and it was quite straight forward with a quick result.

Did you check the EAN number. If this Ean Number Registered under your name or your company you can prove as its your listing. Basically When someone wants to change the brand name Amazon is asking a photo of the original product including barcode. If this barcode is yours just contact Amazon and do the same as other seller did.

I experienced the same issue earlier this year, listing title, brand, images and manufacturer all changed and Seller Support said the same thing, basically you are not the brand owner (I was before it was changed!) so you cannot request any changes.

Having gone backwards and forwards and around in circles over cases opened and closed and phone calls claiming they completely understand my issue (but then followed up with the bot cut and paste standard reply) I gave up with Amazon.

As a last ditched attempt, I contacted the new “brand owner” directly and asked them to change the listing back to what it previously was. To my surprise, they were extremely friendly and did so with no further issue.

Amazon don’t even care about us anymore about time we all put together a leave and do a online marketplace together for the good of the sellers

What do I do with the orders that are rolling in?

It’s FBA and I can’t cancel the orders.

What can I do to not eat the 1 star reviews?

I would email the jeff and MD email.

Raise as a violation, maybe message some of the big brands to complain as well.

search Kidsnado and they have altered a lot of items! (727 are now that brand)

Including:

B09B7R9XN8 = Durex brand condoms for example are now that brand

B00XP7ZJ3I = Barefoot wines is that brand as well

B093HDR5D5 = Milton (Sterilising Tablets)

B011O8JAO8 = Taylors wines

==

This has happened to me several times, it seems as if some Sellers have major powers somehow to change listings, to fraudulent ones, and others don’t have power to even correct things, why is that?
