Account Deactivated - Same Account Name

Hi All,

I opened up my first and only Seller account a few months back. I have not traded as I have been setting up all the other components of the business.

Now I find my account is deactivated because a similarly named account has been picked up in Canada. To reactivate my account I need to prove that I own this account, sold it, or do not own it. How Do I do this? What evidence could I possibly provide to show that I do not own something?

I have submitted mobile bills, company documents, proof of address etc and I just get the same automated emails. I have repeatedly asked to speak to a human, and have called many departments of Amazon trying to reach Amazon Sellers, but there is no email and no contact number.

Amazon seems to have gotten so big it can't manage its customer service, so it outsources and tries to automate everything, and it's a BIG FAT FAIL.

I have been trying to resolve this for several weeks, and seem to be no closer to fixing what is broken.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!

Firstly Amazon have always been terrible with seller support and navigating this can be very difficult. However this is a unique situation. They now think this is an associated account so any evidence you provide won't prove you own the other company because you don't this route will be a bit pointless. In this case I would start by opening a seller support case and repeating the issue a few times and trying to escalate this with seller support. If finally nothing comes through from this then I would suggest approaching the managing director direct email address. I would not try the managing director email address first though as they will direct you back to seller support if you have not tried them and exhausted this option. Also Managing director email is a last resort and if not approached right, can mean they will eventually not reply to you and there is nothing that can be done so do things in the right order. Sorry it is not more helpful but this is much more of a unique situation and looks like you have slipped through Amazon's cracks.

Hello @Seller_FTbdDA8sne9h7,

Ash here to assist. It has been understood that you need help on the account reactivation which has been linked to another selling account.

It seems that you have created a global selling account in North American regions.

Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to close or delete the other account until you resolve the account violations.

To help you better, log in to the related account in Canadian market, and share the deactivation notification over this thread.

Please don't hesitate to contact us on seller forums. The forums community and I, are here to assist with your concerns.

Regards,

Ash.
