Legal entity change

I am in the UK and noticed that my company was

Sole proprietor
In my settings. I’ve been ltd since I started and even sent them my cert of incorporation when I had to the the 15k verification thing.
3 days ago I tried to go in and change it but everything was greyed out, so email and within minutes got an email saying account suspended and that I could now log in and change it.
So I logged in and changed it from sole and submitted it. Got a message saying to wait verification and they’ll be in touch if they need anything else.
I emailed after 24 hours asking about what was happening and do they need anything else and just got told to wait.
Is this normal? I know they suspend when they change it over but should it take this long? I wouldn’t usually be worried but I’ve lost three days of sales, had 5 boxes of fba due to arrive and my entire catalogue deactivated so slightly worried.

God help you now! If you’re lucky, then you’re account might be reinstated quickly, but the chances of that are about as remote as you going on the next NASA space mission.
You might have to provide all your company details again, with ID copies and blood samples. I’ve been through this and it’s caused a lot of stress. Just stay calm, assume Amazon are bigger than God (because they think they are), and just do what they ask. Eventually you’ll get your account back. Sorry for being so cynical but Amazon love to make life difficult for sellers … and they will change the rules aas they go along

When I changed over mine (actual sole proprietor to limited) was suspended for about an hour, but that’s cos I went through the initial verification process in advance - all company registration info before change over was approved. There were still a few loose ends to tie up afterwards.
In your case the sole trader details were incorrect so this is likely to slow things down as they’ll have to check there’s nothing suspicious going on.

Thanks for the replies. I never entered my details incorrectly I was always down as xxx ltd and at the £15k verification I even sent my certificate of incorporation to them. My UTR number is already on there too.
Guess I just need to wait. Sucks it takes so long as it’s very stressful

Hi, As of five days ago i underwent the exact same procedure wherby i decided to switch from a sole trader to a ltd company.
I contacted seller support initially to ask about the process as i had read the forums beforehand which are very scary! Seller support advised me to contact seller verification in a particular format and the process should run smoothly. So i contacted seller verification clearly stating the issue but also asking how long it will take and whether my account will be suspended.
The first response i received was account suspended. Nevertheless i had received an email 1 day later that my verification has been complete, amazon payments was accepted, and happy selling!.
I logged back into amazon seller account info… and my account still suspended but my legal entity details changed correctly to my ltd company without being asked much or any detail for supporting docs.I was only asked to submit a letter of authorization from my ltd company authorising myself as the beneficiary, completed this in a matter of minutes.
It has now been 5 days i have submitted an appeal to reactivate my account but still no response. Like many others i am also now worried with the length of time this could take as i have a substantial amount of money frozen and 1000’s of units on its way.
Not sure how my details can change, how i can be told i am verified and still be deactivated?

So as per the email it says we’re verified. My listings are also active and my account status is ‘valid’. For those of you going through the verification process are your listings active and is your account also valid? However the thing is my account is deactivated and my selling privileges have been removed. Amazon are taking some time to review my appeal. Is this the case for you guys also?
