Packaging Box/Tape
Hi, i am a new seller and have some questions (maybe silly) regarding packaging.
Can i use any tape to package the boxes or do i have to use brown packaging tape or something.
Also, regarding the cardboard boxes i use can use cardboard boxes that have the handle wholes on the side? - see pic below for reference of which box i plan to use:

I use a mix of clear tape or brown tape - whatever i have to hand
i also reuse my boxes from my suppliers - i wouldn’t use anything that had images all over - plain is best

That is probably an expensive way to do it. Consider quality plain double or triple walled cartons from a direct packaging supplier. You’ll give a more professional delivery experience.
Tape, get a quality 50mm roll of tape and a tape gun. It will make life much simpler.

I buy double walled cartons for sending UK FBA
CM 62 x 62 x 62 (scored down to size 62 x 61 x 56)

I buy from supplier in Bulk and Pallets at a time mixed - but can get 200 boxes flat packed per pallet
Fragile Tape around the edges. UPS partner Carrier (UK to UK)
Sometimes I re-use manufacturer outer cartons, but I always label over any barcodes on the outer box.

definitely do not cheap out on tape, this is the best stuff I’ve ever used -

Do not put shipping labels over pieces of tape as they may get ripped off when the boxes are opened.
I put two shipping and FBA labels on each carton to ensure if one falls off or gets damaged everything is still okay

We get all our envelopes and boxes by the pallet load. Plastic bags are bio-degradable. Packing tape is Brown Eco-friendly. Also use tissue paper. Everything we use for packing is recyclable or bio-degradable.

Kite sell boxes and tape at quite competitive prices. Once you are at scale it is worth looking at buying used boxes, usually only sold in large quantities. Definitely use double walled boxes to avoid damage to the products.
