RM 24 48 Tracked means more "refund please"
We’ve noticed since we switched to RM 48 that we’re getting people asking for refunds more related to goods not showing up because Royal Mail are not scanning the item and therefore the tracking never updates… The items in question all never have a scan… ever… One would assume most of the time items don’t arrive because they go to the wrong address etc so what are the odds that none of them ever have a scan…

There will be internal scans when the item has gone through weighing machines at the mail centre.
Best collate a bunch of 2d numbers and ask them whats going on.

Most likely most of them are sitting looking at the order as they message you, but know that the ‘tracking ID’ provided shows it’s not been delivered - or Amazon have sent one of their automated nonsense messages saying it’s running late (again because the ‘tracking ID’ has not shown a delivery scan).
Be polite, ask them to wait 1/2 days, check the delivery address. Then put something like this on the end and watch 95% of them disappear:

Royal Mail as part of the investigation to validate a claim may request additional information from the recipient. You must notify Royal Mail immediately if any missing items are subsequently traced. This order contained a barcode for internal Royal Mail scanning for tracing if necessary.
