Chances of winning the buy box

what are the chances of getting the buy box if i sell a product that amazon is selling and I sell it for the same price as amazon ?

We have even sold a product for less than Amazon was selling it for, and FBA, but Amazon still got the Buy Box. Strange huh?

As long as you have reasonable stats etc, and you are offering FBA, you will get the buy box from them on occasion. The buy box DOES rotate between sellers, though Amazon tend to get the lion’s share of it.

I have had the buy box where I am more expensive than Amazon or where I match the Amazon price. Other times I don’t get the buy box at all
It does happen sometimes. To be honest though don’t try to compete with Amazon just sell it at the price you want.
What I find happens a lot with Amazon is that they sell an item then it goes out of stock for a while and the sales come back until they restock.

It depends on your set up. I sell on a few listings at a slightly higher price than amazon and regularly get the buy box for my seller fulfilled listings
I do same day dispatch through Amazon buy shipping and i took the amazon lending loan which both doubled my buy box % and sales
I guess the algorithm wants to make sure i can pay the money back lol

absolutely no chance! We had a product for a while it sold very nicely thank you very much, then we had many people list the same product or was it who knows? selling under the ad even though it had our details in the bullet points and my very own wording etc etc… Amazon decided to sell them too and guess what? that put paid to that particular item and we no longer stock it but the ad is still there with our name on it! Nice one Amazon thank you… I am over it really lol!
But in saying that we have another item that Amazon sell that we added ourselves to, and they on occasions buy from us for cheaper than what we sell it for how does that happen, the item in question sell s for £5.49 they buy it from us for £5.48 how? I do not know!

No one knows. It’s magic, handed down from generation to generation.
For months our buy box has been 85%+ this week it’s hovering around the 40% mark. No idea why. We manufacture our own brand and have no competitors on our listings.

Just so everyone is aware most people are i am sure…amazon will take over any generic listing that does well its business sense…they will buy bulk at peanuts and not let others go near buy box seen it happen many times…if you come across amazon new on your listing get rid off your stock quick and move on…
