VTR nightmare....help please

I know this topic has threads that stretch to the moon but I thought I’d try and elucidate my own situation: I’m a new, low-key seller of books and I post everything Royal Mail second class which I do at my local post office. When I go to confirm shipment, I choose Royal Mail second class but when I click on confirm shipment a red note comes up under the add tracking number highlighting that I’ve failed to add the tracking.
Obviously I can’t add tracking as RM 2nd doesn’t have tracking so I just click confirm dispatch again which completes the process. However, my valid tracking is now less than 3%. I have written to the VTR team explaining that I send everything RM second class and so these shipments should be exempt but they’ve simply sent me an email saying “You forgot typing the tracking ID for all the orders listed in the current report. The seller must verify they are providing the correct tracking information for each order.”
Obviously I haven’t forgotten as there is no tracking ID for RM second class! I think I will soon have my listings deactivated for the second time. There must be a straight-forward solution for this surely…it’s becoming like a nightmare from which I can’t escape. Can anyone help please?

You need to be selecting royal mail 2nd class stamps / franking as that’s the option exempt from vtr

Hi
I was in a similar situation, and tried 2nd class stamps/franking and it DID NOT WORK for me.
Now I select simply “Stamps/Franking” and this works for me. My VTR is either N/A or 100% depending if I have a genuine tracked RM barcode in play.
It will take 5 weeks for all your “errors” to track through as I found that you could not reconfirm shipping to get them removed.

I was using the Stamps/Franking option and managed to get my rate back up to 95% or more. Now, in the last week or two, this no longer seems to work and my rate is plummeting again. No idea how to fix it. It is as though Amazon wants to make one’s life/business as difficult and stressful as possible.

i use ctr 48 and then go in and check on a regular basis and manually swap the non scanned items on the report to stamp/franking
i hear what you says that AM will eventually validate, but not convinced they will, as they themselves dont seem to understand their own rules

Hello, I have tried to amend my postage to stamps/franking. I go to my shipped orders, click the button that says Edit Consignment, I then change the Delivery Service: to Royal Mail Second class stamps /franking, I then click the Re-Confirm Shipment button and get the following message: “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with this tool and are working to resolve the issue. Please refresh the page and try again in 15 minutes.”
Am I doing something wrong? I got this message the other day when this thread was posted and have tried again whilst writing this post.

… oh no, just tried Microsoft Edge and got the same message. Is there a time limit on the order that you can amend?
