Amazon Promotions
Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with lightening deals - 7 day deals and prime day deals ?
If so any advice very welcome - I am a bit confused as to which, if any we should do.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, they are very expensive but if you have a high margin/fast selling product, they can be worth doing.

I’ve only tried Lightning Deals for 24 hours which required a minimum 15% off current price and paid a fee of £25 (depending on product category). It definitely gives a good boost in sales especially when you are launching a new product or seasonal events happening on Amazon. As for the 7-Day Deal the requirements are 15% off current price, £50-£100 fee cost, and a minimum of 3* reviews.
In addition, you can try running a Voucher (5-10% min discount) which is more cost-effective and can still drive good sales. I would suggest to start small perhaps with a Voucher or Lightning Deal for 24 hours and see how it goes. Don’t jump straight into 7-Day Deal unless you have a product with high margins. Bear in mind that all fees are subject to change based on seasonal events.
