Hermes claim for lost in transit
I want to make a claim against Hermes for an item I sold through Amazon that has been lost in transit. Hermes are asking for proof of value to back up my claim. Would it be sufficient to copy and paste the order into a MS Word document from my Orders page, or is there another way to give them the information they require? Thanks.

I may be wrong but I believe the value they are after is the actual value you paid for the item as any profit was not yours to begin with. So I think it is the wholesale invoice for the item you require.
I may be wrong though. I’m sure someone will be along soon to clarify.

Whenever Hermes have lost one of our parcels, we get sent a claim form via email after they do a so called investigation at the relevent depot. This can take a while. As proof of value we save the original invoice (of the customers order) as a pdf. Upload this at the bottom of the claim form. Always accepted as proof.
