Customer claiming item to be faulty after 4 months and demanding a refund without returning product
First time this has happened to me, and the thread title pretty much explains what’s going on.
I know Amazon have a returns policy of 90 days, but have heard of SS opening A-Z claims far beyond this. Anyone had similar experience or can advise what would be the likely outcome?

The buyer has 90 days after the last day of the estimated delivery date to open an A-Z claim. Amazon customer support is able to open a claim on the buyer’s behalf up to 6 months after the order date.
I have lots of A-Z claims and according to my own experience, if you represent your case properly, the claim will be closed with no refund to the buyer. A buyer has 30 days after delivery to request a return or let you know, that item was not as described. The A-Z guarantee will occasionally ask you to accept a return a few days or even weeks later.
However, if you heard from the buyer for the first time 4 months after the order date, the claim should be closed with no return and no refund. Also, the buyer can no longer leave you a negative feedback.

Regardless of amazon A-Z and feedback, the customer has a right to return for either an repair exchange or refund [of your choosing] providing the item does have a manufacturing fault.
